West Coast Road Trip
As we drove into Corner Brook for our weekend road trip adventure, we were immediately in awe of the mountains. To make it all the more stunning, the colourful leaves had just started to appear on all of the trees, creating a beautiful backdrop for our arrival.
We would like to give a huge shoutout to all of our instagram followers who hit us up with suggestions on how to spend our weekend in the area. Below are our top 3 things we found while exploring Corner Brook in fall.
We visited Best Coast Cafe twice during our stay in Corner Brook. The first time we went thanks to an Instagram follower's recommendation, and the second time was because our cravings for their toutons wouldn't end! Lauren and I both opted for their classic breakfast with eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast. We also tried out their fruit salad and breakfast beans. Best Coast Cafe officially comes highly recommended by us - and we're not messing around when we say you have to try the toutons. They're unreal! (Please send us some in the mail.)
We require a lot of coffee, especially when travelling. Naturally, we were ecstatic when we found out that Brewed Awakening is the west coast's only coffee roastery! We stopped by on our walk around town to try out this fresh locally roasted coffee and we were so pleased. Now, you can also enjoy coffee from Brewed Awakening in St.John's thanks to a recent partnership with Newfoundland Chocolate Company who will now be carrying their product.
3. Bottle Cove
During our trip planning we heard numerous times that we should check out Bottle Cove. If you're read our recent post on our favourite Fall Jackets, you'll know that we did take the drive to this scenic cove - and we really, really loved it. Opening directly into the Gulf of Saint Lawrence, Bottle Cove is renowned for its rugged and untouched landscapes.
As well during our west coast road trip we enjoyed a delicious sushi feast at Newfound Sushi, a relaxing meal at The Gylnmill Inn, visited the Wonderful Fine Market and watched one of our lifelong friends get married at gorgeous Marble Mountain. We loved every second and still the views of the mountains are jaw-dropping, we're hoping to make a return soon!
What else should we see when we visit again?
