We Wore: Patterns
As you may have noticed by now, Jess and I very rarely wear colour. Whether it be for casual weekend in or if we're getting dressed up for a wedding, we both almost always opt for neutrals over colour. However, on a recent trip to Opal + Onyx we were inspired by all their beautiful clothes to step out of our comfort zones and go for some pattern.
If you haven't been to Opal +Onyx yet you have to check it out it. This boutique shop, located on Stavanger Drive in St.John's, offers a variety of brands and style options. They carry brands like Free People, J Brand, and Mink Pink along with the owners own brand Freda Marie.
jessica wore: shoes from Seychelles, l'academie shirt dress, and high-waisted jeans from american eagle
As soon as Jess and I set eyes on this satin pinstripe shirt dress we fell for it. This is a totally new look for Jess but it suited her perfectly. This dress is so easy to wear, and has the option of wearing with jeans, like she did here, or without! Although it's long, the slits on the side and the belt, that cinches the waist, makes it super flattering.
lauren wore: heartloom jumpsuit, shoes from aldo, faux leather jacket from opal label
I stepped out of my comfort zone with this gingham print jumper. I'm absolutely loving the jumper/romper trend. Similar to going with a dress, I love the fact that you only have to slip on one item and you're ready for a night out! When we saw this faux leather jacket, we thought it would be a great way to mix patterns. The oversized flowers on the leather jacket, offer a great pop of colour against the black and white look.
